1 console in 2 rooms...possible??? - 27 August 2008 16:34
I have my 360 and my main TV in my lounge and an smaller lcd TV in my study....not very far apart at all. Is here any way to have my xbox running in the main room, but playing it on the remote screen? The wireless controller just about works from there but i can easily run a wired controller through to the room.

Is it possible, if so, how? any suggestions would be cool.

Depends, what visual connection would you use to the other screen, component or HDMI?.

I know the 360 is abit loud..but this is abit extreme!

I currently use component for my main screen. I'll be honest, my LCD screen is ficticious, but i'll have it soon enough :)

lol. i was assuming i would use the same device(s) to get sound to the other screen too.

Your conna have to take a guess at the kind of meters your gonna need, realistically you have to have a direct cable connection, tho belkin I THINK do so very very long compoent cables.

We would have to look at the options for sound, is it just being played thru the tv screen?

Do you have a list of the inputs for the screen, if you can use HDMI it would be about 1/3 the cost in cable.

now that i'm finally back in the office...i can reply lol.

Sound is currently being sent out of the tv speakers + 2 surround sounds speakers + a sub.

I dont actually have a list, of the screen i should have soon, but the main lviing room tv is a 2 yr old Home cinema CRT display.

When you say direct cable connection......what exactly do you mean?

Well, their isnt going to be a wireless solution to this lol, so say for instance if you get yourself an HDMI cable (which is cheaper than having to by say a 10m component cable!, and run it thru, we just have to work out how to get the sound to transferr to the system...etc etc.

lol. Ethernet cables wouldn't be a problem as i can get them from work.

so the only problem i have is sound......  unless i wire in some speakers too.

Starting to lean towards buying another xbox.  Pitty you cant send audio/video via some kind of sender like you do with Sky.

All you have to do then is just remove the harddrive and stick it on the console you wanna use
