360 and Network Storage - 16 July 2008 14:43
Guys,

Do you know if the 360 can read of a network attacthed storage (NAS) drive? I know you can stream files from a windows PC and a usb drive but would it be able to locate a NAS drive plugged into my router?

Would be grateful for any thoughs on this.

Surely a USB drive  plugged into a laptop would pose a similar threat?

I suppose i'll just get a USB drive if it isn't supported, i tried to plug my external usb 2.5" drive into my xbox and it didnt work, thinking it's just my drive.

Trust me, many poeple have been taking 360's aprt looking for hacks as to find a way to manually expand the HDD's in them, somehow MS have it sowen up, hence the new feature coming with the all new dashboard (the blade system is to be removed), where you can copy the entire game to the HDD and play it from it (hence no loud dvd drive running and very short loading times).

MS arnt really bothered about the piracy side of things anyways TBH.

The arnt really bothered, 360's have been very easily chipped and they dont seem to ever talk about it lol

The new dashbaord, the serious clean look with more adjustable Mii-tars, that will replace Gamertags as far as I can tell
