Ok quick run down

If you had it connected upto an Hd-tv and now your using a scart lead on a normal Tv then make sure the cable that connects to the 360's back connection port is switched to Tv from HDTV this is a black switch on the cable (White sticker over the part where the switch is)

If thats ok make sure the cables are in the correct order when connected to the scart lead make sure your not using the 5 leads that are bundled together so you want  (yellow/yellow red/red white/white.)

Now you should have a pic once its switched on and connected to the tv and the correct channel is selected.

If not let me know

Lol see what Ive posted above and see if that helps.
Just make sure that switch is not gone onto Hdtv either as that will prevent you getting a picture and make sure all leads are connected properly

The "scart" lead is the scart adaptor for the red whit yellow cables (the lead that comes with the 360). Ive had the 360 since they came out if that helps...

You will probably find its something so bloody tiny thats not letting it work and yet you have spent hours messing about with it
Always seems to be that way at times
Might be telling you that it wants a New tv
I highly doubt you have knackered the 360 from moving it upstairs as I lug mine about all over the place at times.

Have you thought of getting your lad a new Tv?

RE: 360 with old telly HELP - 02 May 2008 21:15
I just thought

Does your Video have a spare scart lead on the back?

if so connect the video up to the tv and make sure it works lol
Then connect the 360 lead upto the spare scart port on the video

Now all it should be is a case of turning on the 360 and making sure the tv has the video channel on and then just finding the Output channel on the video
In my case I have channels 1-6 and then I have L1/L2/L3

L1 Being the lead to tv
L2 being the 360 scart
L3 being the front connection port

Does this make any sense?
