For digital I've got this Thomson PVR - bargain IMO, really good for recording stuff, dual tuner so can tape 2 shows at same time. Only issues are the colours are a little dark (no way to adjust out) and occasionally it drops a bollock and the recording goes wrong, but not often. Certainly infinitely better than VCR.

No idea on aerial though
