DVD recorder?
-
07 September 2008 12:08
Who has one? I just bought one and it seems that if I want to record a sky channel, say, UKGold...I have to keep the telly on that channel because If I set it to record and then switch over to sky sports, when I come to play it back, it's recorded UKGold at first, then it records me going to the sky menu, then skysports? basically, it records whatever I see? Have I set it up wrong or are they just that way? seems a bit daft to me

No thats just theway it is I believe, thier are Sky options to get around this, but basically it means they want you to buy Sky+ and use it instead.

Sorry, I completely forgot I'd posted this! Yeah, you're right, that's how they work. I have Sky+ but sometimes like if I go away for a weekend or something, it's nice to have some stuff on DVD in case the weather is bad.....is there a way of getting my Sky+ stuff onto disk instead of deleting it once I've watched it? Cheers

Ive never thought of that, TBH I kinda doubt it as this would open a big bag of copying possibilites that they wouldnt be fond of.

Yeah. After reading around it seems Sky have made it hard to do. I think the only way for me to do this is to Sky+ my choices, then each night before I go to bed, use my DVD recorder to copy what I've sky +ed
