Went up town today and bought a PS3 from gamestation
Though did not get any games with it for now as Im gonna be looking for some bargains

No HDMI lead which is a bit bad and for some reason I cannot use my xbox360 hdmi lead im hoping thats just a case of going into the settings bit and sorting it out cause I dont want to watch films in 480p

Anyway like the 360 Ive bought it from a shop so its easier to replace incase anything goes wrong lol


I hate how small the control pad is it just dont feel right after holding a nice 360 pad

Just downloading an update which is taking an age so Im gonna sit back and have a cup of tea lol

If I want to themes I have to wait till there downloaded before I can do anything else
though there is background downloads for Demo,Films ect...

As of now I cant turn off the Ps3 when downloading a demo like I can on the xbox360 which is stupid but good job the ps3 is quiet

Dvd upscaler is good not watched a blu-ray movie on it yet but im gonna get some region free ones from the states

Gonna take awhile to get used to but I dont even think Ill get many games for it as I prefer Xbox live

In the setting on the Xbox360 dashboard you can turn on background downloads which means when you power down the 360 it will continue to download what you want consuming less power its good for if I want a demo to play in the morning I just download it at night

On the PS3 if you turn it off it wont download anything as far as Im aware
And I prefer to download demos when Im in bed or out I dont want to download a demo when Im keen to play online

Oh I aint gonna get rid of it hell no I wanna watch my films in HD and seeing that the HD-DVD is dead I have no real choice but to get BLU-RAY im not paying ms to borrow a film I have to watch in 14 days and can only watch once

It cost me £299 for the PS3
FIFA08 and Ridge racer I got for £24 from play trade

And Ill be shipping over Cloverfield and Rambo on Blu ray from AMAZON.COM for about £26

All I need to get is the HDMI cable has Im using my 360 one at the moment
I need a headset so I can speak to my brother in law and sister

Thats about it all I will do then is scout BLU-RAY.COM for films that are region free

Should cost no more than £400 for all of that so not to bad
Its a shame it does not come with an HDMI cable and there is only 2 usb port
Its a good machine its just hard getting games because I have either played them or own them on my 360

Hey Ive both Cloverfield and Rambo and they both look great.You wont be disapointed.Blu-ray.com is great for blu-ray news but for region free titles id use http://movietyme.blogspot.com/ They test all there titles with a UK ps3.

Just got Rambo and Im waiting for Cars to be delivered

Played that F1 game and its cack lol first release game by the looks of it
along with Ridge Racer 7 which was not very good
Just bought Fifa 08 which looks smoother on the ps3

Got Resistance FOM but not played that yet and Im waiting for Heavenly Sword to arrive

Metal Gear solid looks amazing though not my type of game

I paid £15 for a Tekken 5 downloadable game which I thinks worth it as I like the Tekken games
