MP3 software?

Hi all i did not know where to put this, hope here is ok, is there any software that i can get to cut mp3's from my itunes, so i could edit a track and cut the first part out etc, want to put a track as a ring tone on my phone but want to cut the first bit out, hope this makes sense

Frickin shot in the dark, but you dont happin to have Roxio or anythign like as a CD Burning software, somtimes these contain cutting tools.
If your really stuck you can just mail it to me!? Have to do the same myself as the start of songs are too quiet to use as a ringtone.

Hi mate thanks for your reply, roxio ill google that in a min, Is there any software i can buy? or free, as i fancy just having a playabout, i googled mp3 editing software and a few came up unsure how good they are, thats exactly the same reason i want them to cut out the quiet parts etc, but quite fancy trying out some sort of software, thanks again John
