The Detonator starring Wesley Snipes, Silvia Colloca (sp?) and William Hope (Lt. Gorman from Aliens). 1996.
 
Run of the mill action flick from Mr Snipes, usual drill, ex-CIA operative now homeland security specialist escorting a woman being extradited back to the US when it all goes pear shaped. Set in Eastern Europe, like many straight to dvd actioners these days, in fact it shares some of the same cast as Jean Claude Van Dammes Second in Command also released last year.
 
Some low-fi car chases (in motors seemingly pinched from Frank Butchers car lot), a couple of shoot outs where all the gunfire sounds exactly the same, nothing original or suprising and definately no showcase for Snipes considerable acting and martial arts skills - though certainly a step up from 7 Seconds or The Marksman.
 
I put it on a)Because training tonight nearly killed me and just needed something to stare at while I waited for my tea to cook, and b) I picked it up from Blockbuster last week in one of those awful buy 6 pre-owned films for £20 deals, you find 3-4 you really want and then vainly try and make up the numbers with any old tosh.
 
Die hard action fans only.  4/10.

I FINALLY got around to watching V for Vendetta last night and HOLY CRAP was that a good movie!  Very entertaining!  9/10

Yes, it was that bad, and im a massive fan of this type of film.

I am glad you posted that Gaz.  My GF went to see it last week and said it was horrible.  I wasn't sure if I could trust her judgement because she isn't really into movies like that.

Entertaining, but nothing to write home about.

although a bit predictable towards the end

Crank 0/10 - Utter crap.
Irreversible 5/10 - Reversed story line, but the plot was pretty bland and the camera filming makes you a bit dizzy.
Tokyo drift 6/10 - Meh it was a typical racing movie tbh, nothing amazing but ok to kill an hour or 2.
Miami vice  7/10 - I enjoyed it, undercover movie and the ending isnt TOO typical of a movie.
Hard candy - 7/10 - you never know who to agree or sympathise with, no real questions were answered in the end but it was alright.

I watched Lady Vengeance tonight. The last movie of Park Chan-Wook's Vengeance trilogy. I have now watched all three of these great Korean movies, so i will rate them all:
 
Sympathy for Mr Vengeance - The first film of the Trilogy, just pure all consuming revenge. 9/10

Oldboy: My favourite of the three and one of the best movies I have ever seen... Very disturbing. 10/10
 
Lady Vengeance - The deepest of all three in my opinion, it looks at revenge from the female perspective, and touches on the theme of redemption. still quite disturbing at times. 9/10

 Really?!? Jacob's Ladder is one of my favourites. No less than 8,5/10 from me
 
Last movie I saw was "Ghosts of Edendale" 3/10 and being generous here. Just a waste of time.
