Just wondering if anyone else has bought this?
 
I have to be honest I'm pretty disappointed with it. I love tennis games and buy practically all that come out. Thinking back of all the ones I have loved. Super Tennis on the snes. Pete Sampras for the PC and the Virtua tennis series. They have all been awesome games. I remember playing the original top spin on the x box and loving it.
 
However I am a bit let down by this installment on the ps3. Visually its a masterpiece (the sweat on the players particularly impressive) but in terms of gameplay I just find it a little dull. The control system is a bit clumsy to say the least and serving is painfully slow (unless you choose Roddick). Ive played and played it but cant get into it at all.
 
I haven't tried career mode yet but am not really in any hurry. The thought of starting of with a player with no real skill is not appealing to me at all as even the top characters are frustrating enough.
 
Bit of a let down overall. I'd give it 6/10. Personally Luckily I only paid £30 on play.com. I'd wait for virtua tennis 4 .
