Toshiba LCD Help 32AV505D - 29 August 2008 00:59
Hey there folks.Ive just got a Toshiba.Dont have any problems apart from the fact that I cant tune it in properly.Itdoesnt pick up my local transmitter which is 10mins away.Instead itpicks up one that about an hour away. Also on other tv's in the house weget perfect analogue reception and cant on my tv.I dont mind the Ukchannels since when I get the freeview sorted I will have them but weget perfect RTE1 and RTE2 coverage in my areas as well and it lookspathetic on my tv.Help.Im using the exact same aerial on the roof asthe other tvs and two of them are new enough HD sony lcd's.

Posted this on muscletalk as well.Im usually good at finding solutions to these problems but im stumped.I used a indoor aerial and I was able to pick up a few more freeview channels.

Are you using an external freeview box or one thats built into the set?

Its integrated. Im in Dungiven if you know where that is CU3ED and im picking up signal from Divis instead of Limavady. Toshiba technical help tried to tell me it was picking up the strongest signal and to get my aerial inspected which I think is totally uneccessary expense to me as all other tvs and digiboxs/integrated tvs are perfect. We all get feed from the same aerial

The only thing I can think of (and its a fcuking long shot!), is that when it goes to tune its picking up the first few channels as the strongest signal and then using that source.

Have you tried restarting and tuning it manually?

Ive tried restarting it,resetting it and manually tuning it. Im going to bring it downstairs to where the other tvs connect at and try it there and see if its the connection to the aerial to my tv.
