how would you set up? - 05 April 2008 02:36
im buying my 1st house and not sure how to set up my tv,dvd, sky

http://www.baysoft-web.co.uk//bsImages/PropertyImages/2_73_37_4_BIG.JPG

i figure the tv can go above the fire place but not sure about everything else
(the main sofa is where the pic is taken from and the stairs are on the right so it needs to be on the wall you see)
any ideas/advice?

Is the fire a working fire? if so then the heat would be a concern to me for the TV

It should be okay TBH, better if its not a working fire tho.

But yea, above the firreplace would be best, maybe on a mount that allows you to tilt it forward so the screen sits against you when you sit down and not flat against the wall, then track the cabel down around the fireplace to where ever they need to go, maybe have the players/ amp etc etc stacked into the corner.

it is a working fireplace but i dont plan to use it.

the wires for the rear surround speakers will have to go round the wall.whats the best way to secure them?
